The Gallery at UTA
The Gallery at UTA is located in the Fine Arts Building central to the UTA campus on Cooper Street in Arlington. Administered by the Department of Art & Art History, the Gallery’s mission is to showcase the work of students and faculty as well as renowned artists and to engage the campus and the public with diverse art that is timely, relevant, and thought provoking.
The Gallery hosts between three and five exhibitions each year, along with BFA, MFA, and faculty exhibitions. Broadly focused on displaying exceptional work, the Gallery presents artwork of varying media, content, and subject. Receptions and Gallery Talks are scheduled with each exhibition.
All exhibitions are free and open to the public.
The Department of Art & Art History
The Department of Art and Art History‘s recognized research programs (Visual Communication Design + Emerging Media, Cinematic Arts, Intermedia, Glass, 3D Studio, 2D Studio, Photography, Art History, Art Education) provide outstanding undergraduate and graduate training in theory, experimental and applied art, design, and new media.
With a distinguished faculty of approximately 60 artists, designers, and historians and a diverse body of over 800 undergraduate and 20 graduate students, the Department continues to educate a new generation of artists, designers, historians, and educators
